Where Are You Paying Attention?

Even for those of us who stay on top of the global shift in places to socially pay attention, it's become relatively overwhelming to figure out where, how and when to invest our time, effort and energy.

Google Buzz initially seemed like it was going to be THE place that might aggregate things together but it's not only not that, but the woman who wrote the post, "F**k you, Google  —  I use my private Gmail account to email my boyfriend and my motherhas taken the post offline (or at least her blog is now set to private). I have people following me that I've never heard of before and wonder if Buzz might become another opening for spammers (e.g., like in Twitter, an "I follow you, you follow me, and now I can DM spam you" sort of opening).

Where are you paying attention? Or are you about ready just to turn it all off?
