One Word for Snow Leopard: Awesome

I'm just simply blown away by the Mac OS X Snow Leopard upgrade. While some say it's "minor" and "featureless", I have experienced it now for several hours and everything is faster, feels tighter, and is definitely more responsive. Hard to do when the operating system was *already* that way!

The big surprise was that Digidesign's ProToolsLE and my MBox Pro 2 worked (after I reloaded the extensions). I've tested this app extensively -- which I use for the Minnov8 Gang podcast, client phone interviews and voiceovers for screencasts and during webinars -- and this mission-critical app works perfectly (and I'm *very* surprised since it took nearly 10 months for Digidesign to get Leopard to work).

JUST MAKE SURE that you follow the installation guidelines: BACKUP first (I used Carbon Copy Cloner and made an exact duplicate of my core drive to a bootable 500GB external USB drive...just in case) and then either use Disk Utility (in your Utilities folder) to "repair permissions" or download Onyx for your OS (Leopard, Tiger, etc.) and just run the automated scripts (check 'em all off) which takes about an hour to run. Doing this will ensure your experience is as good as mine.
